Kedah International Zakat Academy (KEIZA) is an intensive knowledge-sharing initiative established by Lembaga Zakat Negeri Kedah (LZNK). It was created to transform LZNK's operational experience, institutional knowledge and technological capability into structured learning for zakat institutions.

KEIZA also supports collaboration among global zakat stakeholders, including members of the World Zakat Forum, researchers, practitioners and technology partners. The academy represents an important step towards positioning Kedah as an international centre for zakat training and innovation.

A structured two-phase journey from planning to successful system deployment.

The KEIZA implementation process is structured into two clear phases: preparation and capacity building, followed by installation, deployment and formal handover.

Phase 1

Discussion, System Configuration & Training

This phase focuses on understanding the institution's requirements, preparing the system configuration and equipping users and administrators with the required knowledge before deployment.

Phase 2

Installation, Go-Live, Deployment & Handover

Recommended Technical Requirements

Final specifications depend on user volume, system modules, integration, data size, availability target and security policy.

Application Server Minimum 4–8 vCPU, 16 GB RAM and 200 GB SSD storage.
Database Server Microsoft SQL Server or an agreed compatible database environment.
Network & Security HTTPS, firewall/WAF, VPN or private access and role-based control.
Backup & Recovery Daily backup, off-site copy, retention policy and recovery testing.
Identity Integration Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, SSO or agreed authentication method.
Integration API, payment gateway, HR, finance or other approved external systems.
Operations Team System owner, administrator, technical support and data custodian.
